A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO,
WASHINGTON, AWARDING BID NO. 20101 FOR THE NORTH
INDUSTRIAL WAY STORMWATER RETROFIT & OVERLAY PROJECT TO
DOUBLE J EXCAVATING,INC.OF PASCO,WASHINGTON AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS AND ALLOWING ALL NECESSARY BUDGET
ADJUSTMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has an identified capital improvement public works project
described as the North Industrial Way Stormwater Retrofit & Overlay project; and
WHEREAS, this project involves the partial grind and overlay of Industrial Way,
replacement of identified catch basins between Foster Wells Road and E. Kartchner Street, and
other work; and
WHEREAS, the City solicited sealed public bids for this project, identified as the North
Industrial Way Stormwater Retrofit& Overlay project; and
WHEREAS, on January 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Nine (9) bids were received and opened
by the City; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bidder was Double J Excavating, Inc. with a Bid of
$503,000.00, which is below the Engineer's Estimate of$570,575.00; and
WHEREAS, the bid documentation was reviewed and the bidder was determined to be
responsible and responsive.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PASCO,WASHINGTON:
That the City hereby awards the North Industrial Way Stormwater Retrofit & Overlay
project to Double J Excavating, Inc. of Pasco, Washington in the amount of$503,000.00; and
Be It Further Resolved, that this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force
immediately upon passage by the City Council.
