Project Description: The City of Pasco's (City) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) influent flow meter readings are inconsistent between the values reported in the City's control system and the values calculated with open channel weir equations. The City has requested RH2 Engineering, Inc., (RH2) evaluate the discrepancies between the control system calculations and open channel weir equations to assist in reconciling the differences. Scope of Services: See attached Exhibit A. Time of Performance: RH2 will start this work upon receipt of this signed task authorization and complete the work in four (4) weeks. On -Call Municipal Engineering Services Page 1 of 1 EXHIBIT A Scope of Work Task Authorization No. 4 City of Pasco Wastewater Treatment Plant Influent Flow Meter Evaluation August 2021 Background The City of Pasco's (City) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) influent flow meter readings are inconsistent between the values reported in the City's control system and the values calculated with open channel weir equations. The City has requested RH2 Engineering, Inc., (111-12) evaluate the discrepancies between the control system calculations and open channel weir equations to assist in reconciling the differences. Task 1— Influent Flow Meter Evaluation Objective: Evaluate the differences between the control system calculations and open channel weir equations in an attempt to reconcile the differences between these two datasets. Approach: 1.1 Meet with City operations staff at the WWTP to review the influent flow weir configuration. 1.z Calculate flows based on applicable influent weir equations and compare to the control system 1.3 calculations. Recommend updates to equations or flow monitoring equipment based on the results of 1.4 subtask 1.2. Prepare quick -reference charts and tables for City operations staff to identify the influent flow based on measured flow heights and the number of clarifiers online. Assumptions: • RH2 will rely upon the accuracy and completeness of information, data, and materials generated or produced by the City or others in relation to this Scope of Work. • RH2 cannot guarantee the differences between the control system calculations and open channel weir equations can be reconciled.
