Description.' RV is directly connected to the sewer system. PMC 13A.52.110
Violation:
Uncovering,making connection with or opening into,using,altering,or disturbing public sewer or appurtenance thereof
without first obtaining a permit from the City of Pasco.
Corrective Action:
Discontinue all unpermitted work on your property and apply for proper permit(s)to continue work. If no permit(s)can
be obtained,unpermitted work must be removed and the property must be re-inspected by the City of Pasco.
Description: No City of Pasco building permit obtained to directly connect RV to city sewer, install deck in
front of manufactured home PMC 16.04.010
Violation:
Failure to secure a City of Pasco building permit where a permit is required(IBC 105.1 and IRC 105.1).
Corrective Action:
Discontinue all construction activities and submit an application for a building permit from the City of Pasco(call
(509)543-5721 for information on permit requirements). If no permit can be obtained,unpermitted construction must
be removed.
Description: (-louse address number is not visible from the street. PMC 16.24.090
Violation:
House/building number is not visible.
Corrective Action:
(louse/building address number must be placed in some conspicuous area on the front of the structure. Numbers must
be at least four inches in height on businesses and not less than two and one-half inches in height on residences.
Description: The front yard is not maintained with at least 50%live vegetation. PMC 25.75.050(4)
Violation:
At least fifty percent(50%)of the required front yard area has NOT been landscaped with live vegetation.
Corrective Action:
Install live ground cover,such as grass,on at least 50%of the front yard portion of your property. All areas not

landscaped with live vegetation must be landscaped with mulches or decorative rock.

Board Chair Daniel Gottschalk called the regular meeting of the Code Enforcement Board to order in the
Council Chambers of City of Pasco, 525 North Third Street in Pasco,Washington at 7:00 p.m.

Board Member Mary Gutierrez moved to approve the December 5, 2019 Code Enforcement Board Meeting
minutes. Board Member James Rawlinson seconded and the motion carried.

Violation: Accessory structures(shed,detached garage, fence,walls)are dilapidated.
Corrective Action: Make repairs to structure(s) as necessary and maintain structurally sound and in good
condition or demolish.Obtain required building permits to construction or demolition.
Description: Retaining wall,excavation or other structures partially destroyed PMC9.90.040(11)
Violation: Any unsightly building, billboard, fence, excavation, or other structure, or any abandoned or
partially destroyed building, fence, excavation or structure, or any building, fence, excavation or structure
commenced and left unfinished.
Corrective Action: Make necessary repairs to building(s), fence(s), and/or other dilapidated structures,
complete structure or excavation or demolish and lawfully remove structure(s) from the property.

seconded and the motion carried.
City staff recommended give the respondent an additional ten days to abate the violations) or pay a daily
penalty of one hundred dollars ($100)per day for 10 days
Board Member Gutierrez moved to impose 90 days to permit or one hundred dollars($100)per day
for 10 days. Board Member Rawlinson seconded and the motion carried

Description: Failure to obtain a permit to allow modifications to convert the garage to a second dwelling unit
or demolish the unpermitted improvements. PMC 16.05.010
Violation: Failure to secure a City of Pasco building permit where a permit is required(IBC 105.1 and IRC
105.1)
Corrective Action: Discontinue all construction activities and submit an application for a building permit from
the City of Pasco (call (509)543-5721)for information on permit requirements). If no permit can be obtained,
unpennitted construction must be removed.
Board Member Gutierrez moved to confirm violations did occur. Board Member Rawlinson
seconded and the motion carried.
City staff recommended the Board give the Respondent an additional ten (10) days to abate the violations or
pay a daily penalty of one hundred dollars ($100)per day for 10 days.
Board Member Rawlinson moved to allow thirty(30)days to abate the violations and if abatement
does not occur, impose a penalty of$100 per day for ten (10) days. Board Member Gutierrez
seconded and the motion carried.
