Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes Approving: _September & October Meeting_____________ Motion: Thomas Davenport __ Second: Bradyn Lydle Approval Vote: Unanimous III. Staff Reports: a. Recreation (Brent) • Smash Bros Tournament went well 12 participants • Early Deadline for Youth Basketball Has passed (Boys 196 vs 182 in 2018; Girls 133 vs 99 in 2018) • Adult Flag Football is in playoffs • Drop-in Pickleball has begun at City Hall - Mon through Sat times • Foot Care about 109 appointments • Youth VB - 23 participants • State Cross Country this weekend at Sun Willows • Participated in City Hall Trick-or-Treating - about 300 kids came through. • Winterfest December 7 • Youth BB Regular Deadline is November 19 • Adult Basketball Registration Deadline is end of November • Lampson Cable Bridge Run currently 372 registrants • Gym Floor refinishing is scheduled for week of Thanksgiving b. Parks & Facilities (Update from Dan, read by Brent) • Winterized all irrigation systems • Leaf cleanup • Burn tumbleweeds • Mowed for the last time this season • Built a new planter bed at the Pet Cemetery location at the Cemetery • Robert Frost School and the Pasco Kiwanis planted the stock and trees for the new bed • Built a new wall to enhance the new ADA service area at the Cemetery • Installed cable tray at City Hall for phase 4 (Engineering) • City Hall remodel is on pace to finish phase 4 this Friday • Staff began to assume the responsibilities of our HVAC contractor • Began the process of reorganization, Facilities Parks and Forestry/Landscaping • Installed new coffee station at the Police Training Center • Removed outside electrical outlets at the Library because of camping issues c. ACS Director • <No Update> IV. Other: a. Community Tree planting Brainstorm – postponed due to Dan not in attendance b. Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities • Winterfest – 1. Schedule Emailed to Board. They were asked to respond with their availability. Edgar and Nolvia vocally said they would help from 2- 4pm • Lampson Cable Bridge Run – 1. Packet Pickup on Friday, December 20 from 12-7pm. There will be 1.5 to 2 hours shifts. 2. Event day morning of Saturday, December 21 c. Projects Update • Power point presentation gave the following updates 1. A Street Sports Complex a. Working on Cultural Resources Study b. Have sent out RFQ for Design – Due Nov 19 2. GESA Stadium a. Have selected Design Firm i. Presented 2 concept plans – Dust Devils selected Option B b. Updates include i. New Batting Cage ii. Raised Right Field Spectator Area – In field of play iii. 1st Base Sideline Field level Spectator area iv. New Bullpen v. ADA Access to new areas c. Goal is to have completed by 1st pitch 2020 3. Chapel Hill Park a. Design RFP to be issued in December 2019 i. Previous design was Concept only b. Move toward construction in 2020 4. Peanuts Park a. Design at 95% b. Project is Funded c. Work to Begin in early 2020 5. Highland Park Building a. Design Firm Selected b. Conceptual Drawings Presentation Nov 14 6. PFD Aquatic Center Project a. PFD are doing an update to the 2016 study b. Public Meeting was held on Oct 22 c. Site Selection is ongoing d. Moving forward toward public vote in August 2020 V. City Council Representative Suggestions & Reports • Went to Animal Shelter to see current conditions. Received community feedback. Inviting Kennewick and Richland councils to come and see the current shelter. • Suggested doing a Park Board team for the Lampson Cable Bridge Run • Shared that there have been complaints about the Rd 20 medians. o City is aware and do have planned cleanup and updates. VI. Park Board Member Round Table • Nolvia – Asked about remote attendance to Park Board meetings. Would like to see this move forward. VII. Meeting Adjourned Time: ___6:53pm ____ VIII.
