SPECIAL MEETING 3:00 P.M. August 6, 2019
I. 3:00—CALL TO ORDER:
II. 3:05—ROLL CALL: Present: Dan Stafford, chair; Marilynn Baker, Malin
Brergstrom, Devi Tate; Guest: Tanya Bowers
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. July 10, 2019—Approved
IV. 3:10—OLD BUSINESS:
A. None
V. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. None
VI. WORKSHOP:
A. Tanya Bowers discussed with and solicited feedback from the Commission
regarding her historic Preservation consulting contract working with JUB
Engineering and KPG Architects (Paul Fuesel - PLA) to recognize and preserve
the historical significance of the Lewis Street Underpass; and to develop a
plan for designing and placing panels/markers/plaques and creating
awareness (website links, Augmenter Reality phone apps) for sites of historical
significance;
B. Staff updated the Commisison on the CLG, NPS Grants for East Pasco sites of
African American Cultural Significance.
VII. 4:30—OTHER BUSINESS:
A. Commissioners decided to change the HPC meeting time to the first Tuesday
of each month at 4:00 PM
B. Next Meeting September 3, 2019 4:00 pm
