October 10, 2018 I. 5:15—CALL TO ORDER: II. 5:15—ROLL CALL: Present: Dan Stafford, Marilynn Baker, Malin Bergstrom, Devi Tate; Absent: Tom Brandon. III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A. September 12, 2018 - Approved IV. 5:20—OLD BUSINESS: A. None V. PUBLIC HEARINGS: A. None VI. WORKSHOP: A. Commissioners discussed the current activity of the Washington State Railroads Historical Society; discussed the need to ascertain the financial situation before engaging a realtor regarding proposed dollar cap real estate search option for BNSF RR museum property acquisition. B. Staff presented a written report on progress of the CLG Grant for East Pasco sites of African American Cultural Significance. C. Commissioners expressed a desire to catalog the elusive history and location of the underground tunnel system in early 1900s downtown Pasco; Commissioner Bergstrom shared a TCH Article from December 6, 2014 as a research aid. Commissioners discussed possible sources of information, including public works and public utility workers who might have eyewitness experience with tunnel discoveries. VII. 6:55—OTHER BUSINESS: A. Commissioner Baker requested copies of the Railroad interviews; B. Commissioners expressed a desire to watch the "edited" version of the Altha (Skogley) Simmelink-Perry NAS Pasco interview C. Next Meeting November 14, 2018 VIII. 7:00—ADJOURNMENT
