REGULAR MEETING 5:15 P.M. May 9, 2018
I. 5:15—CALL TO ORDER:
II. 5:15—ROLL CALL: Present: Marilynn Baker, Malin Bergstrom, Tom Brandon
Dan Stafford, Devi Tate. Guests: Shelly Batman, Richard "Dick" Scheuerman,
Lori Larson, Tanya Bowers.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

V. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. None
VI. WORKSHOP:
A. Franklin County Historical Society Museum Director Shelly Batman spoke to
the Commisison about the progress and changes at the museum, including
the acquisition of a prehistoric camel.
B. Franklin County Historical Society Museum Archivist Richard Scheuerman
spoke to the Commisison about the indexing project and described some of
the resources available in the Museum's collection. Commissioner Baker
shared with guests about the Railroad Museum's collection and their sorage
dilemma.
C. Tanya Bowers reported on both the NPS and CLG Grants for East Pasco sites
of African American Cultural Significance, and about a tour she had taken
with
D. WSU Tri-Cities IT and audio visual student Lori Larson shared with the
Commisison her expertise including an online video she had created (See:
http://ritzstory.com/portfolio/video/). She and the Commission discussed
her possible role, focusing in on the CLG "soft match" video production
requirement, requesting copies of what the Commisison had already
produced, and asked about use of City video equipment, hard drive purchase.
E. Commisisoner Bergstrom asked guests about a lost Altha (Skogley)
Simmelink-Perry (NAS Pasco) interview video tape.
F. Commissioner Tate asked Chair Stafford for Follow-Up regarding RR museum
property; Real estate contacts; no progress yet.

A. Staff to discuss Communications internship possibility for Lori Larson;
sharing of data, Svc.
