A RESOLUTION approving the purchase of certain real property by the
City of Pasco.
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco provides a variety of services, including public safety and
recreation services, to more than 70,000 residents and hundreds of businesses, and official
growth projections and trends for the City require additional facilities to serve the needs of the
population; and
WHEREAS, development of a new community park and a site for the relocation of Fire
Station 84 are elements of the City's six-year Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, a tract of land appropriately situated near Court Street between Roads 48
and 52 was recently offered for sale and a professional appraisal of the site's value indicates the
proposed sale price to be appropriate and due diligence has identified the site as suitable for the
improvements listed herein;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO,
WASHINGTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the purchase of that real property legally
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof, in the amount of$883,920.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary
and appropriate to consummate the purchase approved herein.
