HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990.03.12 Council MinutesMINUTES1 PASCO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 12, 1990 CALL TO ORDER: Special meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Mayor Joe Jackson. ROLL CALL: By City Manager. Councilmembers present were: Joyce DeFelice, Michael Garrison, Joe Jackson, Chris Jensen and Charles Kilbury. Councilmembers Ed Hendler and E.A. Snider were absent (excused). Also present were: Gary Crutchfield, City Manager; Greg Rubstello, City Attorney; David McDonald, Director of Community Development; and James Ajax, Director of Public Works. ORDER OF BUSINESS: Road 68 Water Project. Mr. James Ajax indicated that the overall improvement was to provide elevated water storage in the water system's second presssure zone. The budget for overall improvement is $2,094,000 of which $1,646,000 was estimated for the tank and transmission line. The total of the bids on the two components is $1,644,081.52 so we are, essentially, right on budget anticipations. II Mr. Garrison moved to award the construction contract for Road 68 Water Transmission Line Project to the low bidder, Ray Poland and Sons, Inc., in the amount of $794,617.52, which includes sales tax and, further, authorize the Mayor to sign the contract documents. Seconded by Mr. Kilbury. Motion carried. Mr. Garrison moved to award the construction contract for Road 68 Water Storage Facility Project to the low bidder, Morse Construction, in the amount of $849,464.00, which includes sales tax and, further, to authorize the Mayor to sign the contract documents. Further, let the record reflect that this award is for the standpipe option. Seconded by Mr. Kilbury. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT: No further business, Mr. Garrison moved to adjourn special meeting. ATT , City Clerk PASSED and APPROVED this /d7 day of("Atc,t_c__ , 1990 The remaining components of the project are modifications to the Riverview Heights Booster Station, modifications to a portion of the distribution system serving the lower portions of the Riverview Heights Subdivision and transmission line to Clark's Addition. With the exception of the line to Clark's Addition, it is anticipated that all work will be complete by November of 1990 and the tank put in regular service at that time.
