SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 8 00 P M by Mayor, E A Snider
ROLL CALL
JUNE 28, 1982
By City Manager. Councilmen present were Ira Schmidt, E A Snider,
Joe Jackson and Emerson Morgan Councilmen Susan Boothe, Beverly Green
and Charles Grigg were absent (excused) Also present were Lee Kraft,
City Manager, Diane Dolan, Finance Director, James Ajax, City Engineer,
and Ken Neilsen, Data Processing Supervisor
VISITORS
There were no visitors wishing to address the Council at this time
ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION NO '1516
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WORK DONE BY POWER CITY ELECTRIC,
INC , CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SIGNALS, UNDER JOB NO 77-4-02,
77-4-04, 77-4-05 and 77-4-06
Resolution No 1516 was read by title only Mr Jackson moved to approve
Resolution No 1516, which, if passed, has the effect of accepting the
Central Business District, etal construction contracted with Power City
Electric Seconded by Mr Schmidt Motion carried by roll call vote of
four (4)
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
IRVING STREET "POST OFFICE AREA" STREET IMPROVEMENT L I D NO 116 -
CITY PROJECT NO 82-3-03 Mr Jackson moved to authorize staff to call
for bids on the Irving Street L I D No 116 Let the record show that
the protest period ended June 16, 1982, and the maximum and final protest
was 18 57% Seconded by Mr Schmidt Motion carried by roll call vote of
four (4)
PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING ADDITION AND VEHICLE STORAGE BUILDING - BID RESULTS -
CITY PROJECT NO 82-9-01 Mr Schmidt moved to award the construction
contract for the Public Works Building Addition and Vehicle Storage Building
in the amount of $158,789 00, plus sales tax, to the low bidder, L & R
Construction, all in response to their main proposal as submitted on June
24, 1982 Seconded by Mr Jackson Motion carried by roll call vote of
four (4)
1982 OVERLAY PROGRAM - AUTHORIZATION TO CALL FOR BIDS - CITY PROJECT NO
82-3-01 and 82-3-06 Mr Schmidt moved to authorize staff to call for bids
on the 1982 City and FAM funded overlay Seconded by Mr Jackson Motion
carried by roll call vote of four (4)
ADJOURNMENT
No further business, meeting adjourned at 8 12 P M
