RESOLUTION NO. '3 'S
A RESOLUTION authonzing amendment of the 1998 Annual
Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No 2335 in October 1997,
establishing a process to amend the Consolidated Housing and Community
Development Plan to reallocate funds for existing and new projects, and
WHEREAS, provision of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
assistance to low-income homeowners in Local Improvement Distncts was approved
as part of the 1998 Annual Plan and additional funds are necessary to fund assistance
to all eligible homeowners, and
WHEREAS, funding of capital improvements necessary to open a police mini
station at Alderwood Square is an eligible CDBG expense and addresses the city's
pnonty of providing safe neighborhoods, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That funds totaling $150,000 shall be reallocated to the LID
Assistance Program as follows
• $12,000 funds remaining from the 1996 CDBG award to the Benton-
Franklin County Community Action Committee's project, which was
closed out in March 1998
• $14,026 funds from the 4th Avenue beautification project
• $123,974 funds from the West Lewis beautification project
Section 2. That a new project shall be established for the Alderwood Square
Police Mini-station by reallocating $4,050 in funds from the following projects
• $2,880 funds remaining from the East Lewis Supermarket Study, which
project was closed out in 1997
• $1,170 funds from the West Lewis beautification project
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at a regular meeting this
