HomeMy WebLinkAbout2304 ResolutionCITY 0 ASCO Charles D Kilbury, M yor ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FO Catherine D Seaman, Deputy City Clerk land B , City Attorn RESOLUTION NO. 2304 A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of surplus items to the Ben Franklin Transit at ten percent (10%) of appraised value WHEREAS, from time to time the City of Pasco expects to declare certain vehicles, equipment, parts, supplies, or goods to be surplus to its need, and WHEREAS, the Ben Franklin Transit offers surplus items to its member junsdictions that compnses the BFT Board ( i e, the cities of Pasco, Kennewick, Richland and West Richland, and the counties of Benton and Frankhn) at ten percent (10%) of the appraised value, and WHEREAS, the BFT have requested the City of Pasco to offer its surplus items to BFT an a first preference basis at ten percent (10%) of the surplus value, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1 Prior to the sale of any surplus personal property to the public, the City of Pasco will send a hstmg of the property for sale to the BFT 2 The purchase price of surplus items to BFT shall be at ten percent (10%) of the appraised value as determined by the staff of the City of Pasco For items of limited value, the replacement cost, market value, past sales, and judgment will be used in establishing the appraised value For items of substantial value a professional appraiser may be used 3 All BFT sales must be completed at least seven (7) days in advance of any public sale PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at a regular meeting this 7 day of Apnl, 1997 1 ... rednckson al Manager PC.
