HomeMy WebLinkAbout2294 ResolutionCharles D Kilbury, Mayor RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION accepting work by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc under contract for Project No 96-3-04 WHEREAS, the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc , under contract for Project No 96-3-04 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc , under contract for Project No 96-3-04 as being completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same a n d verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance PASSED by the City Council of City of Pasco this 3rd day of February, 1997 ATTEST Catherine D Seaman Deputy City Clerk Leland B Kerr, City Attorney MEMORANDUM DATE January 28, 1997 TO Robert J Alberts, Director of Public Works FROM Dennis Wright, City Engineer SUBJECT Engineer's Report Accepting Lewis Street Underpass Project No 96-3-04 Bids were opened on Wednesday, May 29, 1996 Award was made on June 17, 1996 to Ray Poland and Sons, Inc in the amount of $48,135 00 Notice to Proceed was issued on June 27, 1996 The first working day charged to the project was July 17, 1996 and work was substantially complete on September, 19, 1996 There was one change order issued for a deduction of $1,950 and the final cost was $46,185 00 The cost deduction for the change order was for applying a special self-fluxing solder alloy for galvanizing the anchor plates attached to the fence paneling in lieu of hot-dipping the anchor plates The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted
