RESOLUTION NO 5
A RESOLUTION accepting work by E P Johnson, Inc under contract for
Project No 96-2-03
WHEREAS, the work performed by E P Johnson, Inc , under
contract for Project No 96-2-03 has been examined by the City Engineer
and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract
has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project
specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of
Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete,
Now, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by E P
Johnson, Inc , under contract for Project No 96-2-03 as being completed
in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings,
and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed t o
notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance,
and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being
withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative
determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and
verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance
PASSED by the City Council o the City of Pasco this 3rd day of
February, 1997

SUBJECT Engineer's Report Accepting B Street Waterline
Project No 96-2-03
Bids were opened on Wednesday, June 5, 1996 at 9 30 a m
Council awarded the contract on June 17, 1996
Award was made to E P Johnson Construction, Inc in the amount of
$228,602 41
The first working day charged to the project was July 8, 1996 and work
was substantially complete on September 10, 1996
There were three Change Orders issued for this project They are as
follows
1) Reconnecting existing water services to the new 16-inch line
Lump Sum $11,040 00
2) Installation of 2,773 linear feet of 20-inch waterline in Court
Street between Road 111 and SR-182 and between Road 103
and Road 108 with extensions and appurtenances Lump Sum
$32,270 40
3) The work involves the repair of 10-inch concrete storm line,
removal of existing lead joints, extra fittings for reconnection
to existing lines, fire hydrant installation cost, and placement
of cold mix on arterial street crossing Lump Sum $550 14
The final contract cost was $272,732 88
The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project
specifications and I recommend the project be accepted
