HomeMy WebLinkAbout2247 ResolutionMay, 1996 ATTEST Charles D Kil ury, Mayor RESOLUTION NO 2.2 44 A RESOLUTION accepting work by John M Keltch, Inc under contract for Project No 95-1-02 WHEREAS, the work performed by John M Keltch, Inc, under contract for Project No 95-1-02 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by John M Keltch, Inc, under contract for Project No 95-1-02 as being completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed t o notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same a n d verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance PASSED by the City Council the City of Pasco this 6th day of Catherine D Seaman Deputy City Clerk APPR S TO FORM Lee Kerr, Interim City Attorney MEMORANDUM DATE May 1, 1996 TO Robert J Alberts, Director of Public Works FROM Dennis Wright, City Engineer SUBJECT Engineer's Report Accepting First Avenue Sewer Relay Project No 95-1-02 Bids were opened Thursday, June 15, 1995 Council awarded the contract on June 19, 1995 Award was made to John M Keltch, Inc in the amount of $37,801 36 The first working day charged to the project was July 10, 1995 and work was substantially complete on July 28, 1995 There were two Change Orders issued for this project which increased the size of two manholes to better accommodate the new pipe and provided for the reconnecting of two existing sewers to the new system The final contract cost was $39,804 20 The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted
