HomeMy WebLinkAbout2237 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO aa3 7 A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of surplus City property WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has obtained title to certain real properties due to delinquent Local Improvement District Assessments, and WHEREAS, said real properties are surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco and it is in the public interest the properties be sold to raise revenues for the Local Improvement Guarantee Fund, and WHEREAS, the City previously advertised the property for sale, and WHEREAS, the City desires to sell the property and the City Council believes the price offered is reasonable considering fair market value, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS Section 1 That the City Manager is authorized to execute the appropriate documents for the sale of the following properties to the following purchaser at the terms set forth below A Community Health Center, LaClinica 75 lots located in Avery's Addition, Block 3 (Lots 1-28), Block 4 (Lots 1-28) and Block 1 (Lots 11-19) for a total of $26,000, to be paid in cash within 180 days from the date of this Resolution B The deeds for said lots shall stipulate that the initial occupants of homes built on the lots be owner-occupants The deeds shall also contain reverter clauses stating that should homes not be completed on each lot fronting on Cedar Avenue (Block 3, Lots 1-14 and Block 1, Lots 11- 19) within 18 months, the undeveloped lots shall revert back to the City and the purchaser shall receive one-half of the purchase price as a refund The City shall grant extensions for good cause shown if substantial construction is in progress PASSED by the C ty Council of the City of Pasco, Washington this ay of F , 1996 / " - Charles D Kilbury, ayor APPROVED AS TO FO /4-11.11n The sale of lots on Block 1, Lots 11-19, Avery's Addition shall be contingent upon City approval of a rezoning of these lots to "residential " Conveyance shall be by Local Improvement Assessment Deed, approved by the City Attorney, subject to all easements, restrictions, covenants and reservation of record and delivered to the purchaser upon receipt of the cash purchase price Purchasers shall be responsible for recording and all costs associated therewith ATTEST Catherine D Seaman, Deputy City Clerk Leland err, Interim City A orney
