HomeMy WebLinkAbout2231 Resolution2231 RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION accepting work by Transtate Paving Company, Inc under contract for Project Numbers 95-3-01, 95-3-03, and 94-3-02 WHEREAS, the work performed by Transtate Paving Company, Inc under contract for Project Numbers 95-3-01, 95-3-03, and 94-3- 02 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Transtate Paving Company, Inc under contract for Project Numbers 95-3-01, 95-3-03, 94-3-02 as being completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 5th day of February, 1996 ATTEST Catherine D Seaman Deputy City Clerk APP D AS TO FORM `—k-AL.---------aiv., Leland B Kerr Interim City Attorney MEMORANDUM DATE January 26, 1996 TO Robert J Alberts, Director of Public Works , FROM Dennis Wright, City Engineer SUBJECT Engineer's Report Accepting 1995 Overlays Project No 95-3-01, 94-3-02, 95-3-03 Bids were opened on June 13, 1995 Award was made on June 19, 1995 to Transtate Paving Company, Inc in the amount of $529,595 30 Notice to Proceed was issued on June 30, 1995 The first working day charged to the project was July 10, 1995 and work was substantially complete on September 4, 1995 There were three Change Orders issued that totaled $28,522 14, and the final cost was $542,953 61 Much of the cost for change orders were additional streets and storm drainage added to the overlay program The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted
