HomeMy WebLinkAbout2229 ResolutionAPP S TO FORM RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION declaring a moratorium on the issuance of building permits for additions to factory assembled dwellings WHEREAS, from time to time the City creates standards for development within the community, and WHEREAS, recently developed standards for the placement of factory assembled dwellings has created some confusion for residents and has led to less than desirable property improvements, and WHEREAS, poor property improvements lead to code enforcement problems, create negative impacts upon the value of surrounding property and renders others insecure in the use of their property, and WHEREAS, To insure that the general welfare of the community is maintained it is necessary to review the zoning regulations with respect to the placement and expansion of factory assembled dwellings, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: Section 1. That effective immediately there is imposed a moratorium on the issuance of building permits for additions of any kind to factory assembled dwellings Section 2. That such moratorium shall expire upon the adoption of new development standards for additions to factory assembled dwellings, but in no event shall the moratorium extend beyond 90 days from the date of approval herein, unless such time period is extended by affirmative action of the City Council Section 3.
