HomeMy WebLinkAbout2189 ResolutionCharles Kklbury, Ma or Pro-tern OVED TO FO ubstello, City Attorney % N ‘,1 RESOLUTION NO 2189 A RESOLUTION accepting work by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc, under contract for Project No 94-5-01 WHEREAS, the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc, under contract for Project No 94-5-01 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc, under contract for Project No 94-5-01 as being completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 5th day of June, 1995 _ ATTEST Catherine D Seaman Deputy City Clerk MEMORANDUM DATE May 23, 1995 TO Robert J Alberts, Director of Public Works FROM Dennis Wright, City Engineer% SUBJECT Engineer's Report Accepting Stadium Grading Project No 94-5-01 Bids were opened on Monday, December 19, 1994 Council awarded the contract on December 19, 1994 Award was made to Ray Poland and Sons, Inc , in the amount of $103,278 00 Notice to Proceed was issued on December 22, 1994 The first working day charged to the project was January 2, 1995, and was substantially completed on January 27, 1995 There were two Change Orders issued for this project totaling 1 Deletion of Soil Stabilization ($10,350), and 2 Sales tax of $7,248 38 The final contract cost was $100,176 38 The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted 41
