IV HISTORY AND FACTS BRIEF
Each year, the City of Pasco updates its road construction plans by
adopting a Six Year Transportation Improvement Program That
program attempts to identify street construction projects and their
source of funding over the ensuing six year period
This year, as in past years, the City of Pasco has included within its
plan a project called "Various Overlays", which has been a "catch-
all" project to include the annual residential overlays and included
other overlay projects as funding became available or needs became
apparent It was the intention of staff the overlay of A Street be
included in this category
We have now been advised by the State because of the new policy
regarding the acceptance and approvals of Six Year Programs,
which now includes approval by the Governor, we must include this
project as an individual entry in the program Therefore, staff
proposes the Six Year Program be amended to include the overlay of
A Street, between 10th Avenue and Wehe Avenue, utilizing $173,000
of federal aid funding and $52,000 of local funds from the half-cent
gas tax
