A RESOLUTION accepting work by Sharpe and Preszler Construction, Inc. under contract for Project No. 94-2-04 WHEREAS, the work performed by Sharpe and Preszler Construction, Inc, under contract for Project No. 94-2-04 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been performed in apparent compliance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Sharpe and Preszler Construction, Inc. under contract for Project No. 94-2-04 as being completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance. Se man, Deputy City Clerk • '1/4. „,-- AGENDA REPORT NO 34 FOR City Council DATE August 10, 1994 TO Gary Crutchfield, Manager Workshop Regular August 15, 1994 FROM Dennis Wright, City Enginee SUBJECT Acceptance of the Foster Wells Waterline Project No 94-2-04 I REFERENCE(S) 1 Engineer's Report 2 Resolution II ACTION REQUESTED OF COUNCIL/STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS Motion I move to accept the construction of the Foster Wells Waterline under Project Number 94-2-04 III FISCAL IMPACT None IV HISTORY AND FACTS BRIEF This waterline was originally constructed in Foster Wells Road, from Railroad Avenue northeast approximately 1,000 feet, it will be the waterline that is extended into the Port of Pasco Processing Center After the project was started, it was determined an additional 1,500 feet of 12 inch (12") waterline should be installed to extend the waterline north to two other additional parcels of property The owners of that property then extended the waterline another 1,300 feet This project is now complete and staff requests it be accepted by Council V DISCUSSION VI OTHER COMMENTS VII ADMINISTRATIVE ROUTING Project File 3 (c) / DATE: August 10, 1994 MEMORANDUM TO: File FROM: Dennis H. Wright, City Engineer SUBJECT: Engineers Report Accepting Foster Wells Waterline Project No. 94-2-04 Bids were opened on April 13, 1994. Council awarded the contract on April 18, 1994. Award was made to Sharpe and Preszler Construction, Inc., in the amount of $38,927.87. Notice to proceed was issued on May 13, 1994. The first working day charged to the project was May 16, 1994 and work was substantially complete on June 9, 1994. There were two change orders issued for this project increasing the contract amount by $ 41,598.40. The change which added nearly $41,000 to the contract was the addition of a 12-inch waterline in Burlington Road. The final contract cost was $ 82,324.48. The project was completed in apparent conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
