HomeMy WebLinkAbout2125 ResolutionCITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO 2125 A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, declaring its intention to order construction of a waterline in Broadmoor Parkway, from Road 100 to a point approximately 350 feet east of the centerline of Road 92 and to create a local improvement district to assess the cost and expense of carrying out those improvements against the properties specially benefited thereby, and notifying all persons who desire to object to the improvements to appear and present their objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held on May 16, 1994 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, as follows Section 1 It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to order the improvement of the properties described below by the construction of a waterline in Broadmoor Parkway and all other work necessary therefor or incidental thereto The foregoing improvements shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and may be modified by the City as long as that modification does not affect the purpose of the improvements The properties specially benefited by the improvements and proposed to be included in a local improvement district are included within the following described property That portion of Section 8 and 9, Township 9 N, Range 29, East WM described as follows Beginning at the NW corner of Section 8, thence E along the N line of Section 8 to the NW corner of Blk 5 of the plat of Broadmoor Park No 1, thence S along the W line of Blk 5 and Blk 4 of said Broadmoor Park No 1 to the NW corner of Lot 1 Blk 4 of said Broadmoor Park No 1 Addition, thence E along the N line of Lot 1 Blk 4 of Broadmoor Park No 1 to the W line of Road 92, thence continuing E along the N line extended of Blk 1 Lot 4 of Broadmoor Park No 1 to the W line of Cole's Estates, thence continuing E along the N line of Lot 24 Cole's Estates to the NE corner thereof, thence S along the E line and E line extended to the S right-of-way line of Broadmoor Parkway, thence E along the S right-of-way line of Broadmoor Parkway to its intersection with the E line of Lot 3 Blk 2 of Broadmoor Park No 1, thence S along the E line and E line extended of said Lot 3 Blk 2 Broadmoor Park No 1 to its intersection with the N right- of-way line of Interstate Highway 1-182, thence NW along the N right-of-way line of 1-182 to the intersection with the E right-of-way line of Road 100, thence N along the E right-of-way line of Road 100 to its terminus, thence W along the N terminus of Road 100 to its intersection with the W line of Section 8, T9 N, R29, E W M, thence N along the W line of said Section 8 to the NW corner thereof and the point of beginning Section 2 The estimated cost and expense of the improvements are $230,080 00 The total cost and expense of the improvements shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by the improvements to be included in a local improvement to be established embracing as nearly as practicable all the property specially benefited by the improvements Actual assessments may vary from estimated assessments as long as they do not exceed a figure equal to the increased true and fair value the improvements add to the property Section 3 The City Clerk is authorized and directed to give notice of the adoption of this resolution and of the date, time and place fixed for the public hearing to each owner or reputed owner of any lot, tract, parcel of land or other property within the proposed local improvement district by mailing such notice at least 15 days before the date fixed for public hearing to the owner or reputed owner of the property as shown on the rolls of the Franklin County Assessor at the address shown thereon, as required by law This resolution shall be published in at least two consecutive issues of the official newspaper of the City, the date of the first publication to be at least fifteen days prior to the date fixed for the public hearing Section 4 All persons who may desire to object to the improvements are notified to appear and present those objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in Pasco;
