HomeMy WebLinkAbout2107 ResolutionAPPROVED AS TO FOR stello, City Attorney RESOLUTION NO a_lor\ A RESOLUTION Providing for the construction of curb, gutter, and sidewalk on Court Street between Road 36 and Road 40 at the expense of abutting property owners, and providing notice of a public hearing WHEREAS, The City Council finds it would promote the public safety, health, and welfare of the city of Pasco to have constructed sidewalk, curb and gutter along Court Street from Road 36 to Road 40, and WHEREAS, The City Council finds based upon the report of the City Engineer that public convenience and safety require the construction of sidewalk, curb, and gutter on both sides of Court Street from Road 36 to Road 40, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS 1 That the owners of the property abutting Court Street from Road 36 to Road 40 are required to construct sidewalk, curb, and gutter at each to his own expense according to the plans and specifications set forth herein 2 In the event the required construction is not undertaken and completed within the time specified below, the city will perform and complete the improvement and assess the costs against the abutting property owner 3 PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The date set for hearing persons for or against this Resolution is set for February 7, 1994 at 8 00 p m, in the Council Chambers of Pasco City Hall, 412 West Clark Street, Pasco, Washington 4 COMPLETION DATE The construction must be completed not later than May 6, 1994 5 SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION The sidewalk, curb, and gutter shall be constructed as set forth herein and as set forth in the attachments which are incorporated herein by reference and which are on file in the office of the City Engineer and the City Clerk Curb and gutter shall be type "A" as per city specifications and the sidewalks shall be four (4) inches thick and six and five-tenths (6-5/10) feet wide At driveways, curb and gutter shall be type "D" sidewalk and shall be six (6) inches thick and six and five-tenths (6-5/10) feet wide Forms shall be set according to the grade established by the city Cement concrete shall be five and five-tenths (5-5/10) sack mix and one-half (1/2) inch maximum coarse aggregate ATTACHMENT "A" Concrete curb, gutter, and walk - Pasco Engineering Department ATTACHMENT "B" Vicinity map of Court Street from Road 36 to Road 40 6 COSTS ESTIMATE The cost of the required construction Of constructed by the city) is estimated as set forth on Attachment "C" ATTACHMENT "C" Registered owner's name, parcel legal description and estimated costs PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 18th day of January, 1994 Je7CE—Der-EL-tE , M ayorr ATTEST 044 P P re) Catherine Seaman, City Clerk 6 II Type "D" Curb And Gutter Detail C a, // ---e:, r- GENERAL Concrete Class 5 (1-1/2) or 5 (3/4), Max Slump 3 - 1/2 Inches Joints On Walk Every 5' Feet (Cut 2" Min Deep For Agregate Separation ) Joints On Curb And Gutter Are Spaced 10' (Feet) And Stabbed At Face Of Gutter And Back Of Curb, Joints In Walk Shall Match Curb Joints And Be Perpendicular To Curb 1 7' COMMERCIAL 6 1/2' Stab Min 3" Typical Expansion Joints Required At Curb Returns And Existirg Concrete _I_ 1 5' RESIDENTIAL 4 -1/2' --7.- ‘ • • - ... a . —4 -. p . , i - — 6" Thick For Driveway .
