HomeMy WebLinkAbout2026 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. ao G A RESOLUTION authorizing staff to include provisions for the design and construction of the proposed northwest annexation area pressure sewer service line in the engineering service contract being negotiated with Bovay Northwest, Inc. with the commitment of the city that such use of the Road 36 interceptor capacity shall not constrain the contemplated development of those kinds within the N 112 Sec. 14, the Road 36 interceptor was sized to service. WHEREAS, the Road 36 sewer interceptor was originally built to accommodate proposed residential development in the N 1/2 Sec 14 and was sized to accommodate such service as well as the larger service area in which the N 1/2 Sec 14 is located, and WHEREAS, t is now contemplated to connect a pressure sewer service line to the Road 36 interceptor m order to provide service to the northwest annexation area, an area outside of the ongmal service area for the Road 36 interceptor, and WHEREAS, the capacity utilized by the proposed pressure service line would infringe upon and detract from the capacity of the Road 36 interceptor intended to be available to the N 1/2 Sec 14, and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it would be inappropriate to allow that capacity utilized by the pressure service line to cause the denial of building permits in the N 1/2 Sec 14 due to the lack of capacity in the Road 36 interceptor, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Staff is authorized to include provisions for the design and construction of the proposed northwest annexation area pressure sewer service line in the engineering services contract being negotiated with Bovay Northwest, Inc , provided, however, that should such pressure sewer service line be built and draw capacity originally intended for the N 1/2 Sec 14, that the city will cause such capacity to be restored to the N 1/2 Sec 14 if development demands requires such capacity, including the construction of an additional interceptor line to service the area if necessary APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, at its regular meeting on August 3, 1992 Mayor ATTEST APPROVED AS TO FO g t ab.% JIMIAtkn GI R CATHERINE D SE MAN Deputy City Clerk Ct ney
