HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO ao00 A RESOLUTION declaring the City Council's desire to attempt a negotiated sale of certain real property WHEREAS, the city owns approximately 24 acres of real property situated adjacent to and east of North 20th Avenue, and WHEREAS, the property appears to have value for development of office and commercial uses and possibly apartments, and WHEREAS, the general economic climate in the Tn-Cities region is as strong as it has been in more than a decade, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to consider proposals for the purchase and development of said property, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to thoroughly consider the type and value of development resulting from sale of the property in determining the selected purchaser and the sale pnce and terms, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a negotiated sale of all or a portion of said property is in the best interest of the City of Pasco, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: §1. The City Council hereby declares its desire to attempt a negotiated sale of all or a portion of that real property owned by the city adjacent North 20th Avenue, commonly referred to as the golf course commercial property, pursuant to PMC 2 46 030(3) §2. That the City Manager is hereby authonzed and directed to issue a Request For Proposals, such proposals to include I Desired acreage 2 Nature and scale of proposed development 3 Timing of proposed development 4 Proposed financial terms 5 Capability of proposer to perform §3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to obtain an appraisal for the real property to be performed by an independant qualified appraiser as required by PMC 246 035 ATTEST TO FORM CATHERINE D S AMAN Deputy City Clerk REG A City Attor UBSTELLO ey .; §4. After the receipt of proposals and the appraisal, the Council shall determine whether to proceed with negotiations with any interested party for the sale of the real property PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco at a Regular Meeting this 16th day of March, 1992 _ 2
