RESOLUTION NO. 1973
A RESOLUTION accepting work by Sharpe and Preszler Construction
Co., Inc under contract for Project No. 91-1-01.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Sharpe and Preszler
Construction Co., Inc under contract for Project No. 91-1-01 has
been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has
found that all work required by the contract has been performed
in apparent compliance with the applicable project
specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Sharpe
and Preszler Construction Co., Inc under contract for Project No.
91-1-01 as being completed in conformance with the project
specifications and drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue
of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and
Director of Finance.

MEMORANDUM TO: Jim Ajax, Director of Public Works
FROM: Dennis H. Wright, City Engineer
SUBJECT: Engineers Report Accepting LID 122-Ruby/Agate
Sewer - Project No. 91-1-01
Council authorized the call for bids on JULY 1, 1991.
Bids were opened on JULY 18, 1991.
Council awarded the contract on JULY 22, 1991.
Award was made to Sharpe and Preszler Construction Co. Inc in the
amount of $55,967.60.
Notice to proceed was issued on August 13, 1991.
The first working day charged to the project was August 12,1991
and work was substantially complete on August 30, 1991, with 5
working days remaining.
There were two change orders issued for this project increasing
the contract amount by $16,442.80. The change order which added
the overlay was $14,506.00 of that amount.
The final contract cost was $71,908.39 or 28.5% over the original
contract amount.
The project was completed in apparent conformance with the
project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
