HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946 ResolutionYN WELLS, City Clerk E RUBSTELLO, Ci y Attorney RESOLUTION NO. 1946 A RESOLUTION directing enforcement of the Landscape and Screening Ordinance. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2036 was adopted by action of the Pasco City Council in 1979 to establish minimum requirements for landscape and screening improvements within all commercial and industrial districts of the city; and WHEREAS, in consideration of the adverse economic conditions occurring throughout the community, application of the new standards was delayed by formal action of the City Council on several subsequent occasions until April 1987, but no enforcement action has occurred to date; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds application of the long-standing landscape and screening requirements will substantially contribute to the improved appearance throughout the community and, in particular, will improve the image of he community as well as help to stabilize property value; and WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that a reasonable time period should be provided for those existing businesses to comply with the standards which have been held in abeyance for 12 years; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: Section 1. The city administration is hereby authorized and directed to apply fully the landscape and screening requirements of Ordinance No. 2036 to existing development with the following compliance timeline: (a) Screening Requirements: 6 months (b) Landscape Requirements: 12 months P SED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 2/ day of , 1991.
