A RESOLUTION Providing for the replacement of damaged
sidewalk on Court Street between 5th Avenue and 7th
Avenue and on Shoshone Street between 12th Avenue and
14th Avenue and on 12th Avenue between Shoshone
Street and Yakima Avenue at the expense of abutting
property owners; and providing notice of a public
hearing.
WHEREAS, The City Council finds it would promote the
public safety, health, and welfare of the City of Pasco to
replace the damaged sidewalk on Court Street between 5th Avenue
and 7th Avenue and on Shoshone Street between 12th Avenue and
14th Avenue and on 12th Avenue between Shoshone Street and Yakima
Avenue
WHEREAS, The City Council finds, based upon the report
of the City Engineer, that public convenience and safety require
the the replacement of damaged sidewalk on Court Street between
5th Avenue and 7th Avenue and on Shoshone Street between 12th
Avenue and 14th Avenue and on 12th Avenue between Shoshone Street
and Yakima Avenue, NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the owners of the property abutting Court
Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue and Shoshone Street
between 12th Avenue and 14th Avenue and on 12th Avenue between
Shoshone Street and Yakima Avenue are required to replace damaged
sidewalk at each to his own expense according to the plans and
specifications set forth herein.
2. In the event the required construction is not
undertaken and completed within the time specified below, the
City will perform and complete the improvement and assess the
costs against the abutting property owner.
3. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE. The date set for hearing
persons for or against this Resolution is set for April 23, 1990
at 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Pasco City Hall, 412
West Clark Steet, Pasco, Washington.
4. COMPLETION DATE: The construction must be completed
not later than May 25, 1990.
5. SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION. The sidewalk,
curb, and gutter shall be constructed as set forth herein and as
set forth in the attachments which are incorporated herein by
reference and which are on file in the office of the City
Engineer and the City Clerk. Curb and gutter shall be type "A"
as per City specifications and the sidewalks shall be four (4)
inches thick and six and five-tenths (6-5/10) feet wide. At
driveways, curb and gutter shall be type "D" sidewalk and shall
be six (6) inches thick and six and five-tenths (6-5/10) feet
wide. Forms shall be set according to the grade established by
the City. Cement concrete shall be five and five-tenths (5-5/10)
sack mix with one-half (1/2) inch maximum size coarse aggregate.

6. COSTS ESTIMATE. The cost of the required
construction (if constructed by the City) is estimated as set
forth on Attachment "C".
ATTACHMENT "C". Registered owner's name, parcel, legal
description and estimated costs.
