J n Mayor EST: c-- APPR D AS ells, City Clerk ste lo, City ttorney RESOLUTION NO. 1912 A RESOLUTION accepting work by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc. under contract for Project No. 89-2-02 WHEREAS, the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc. under contract for Project No. 89-2-02 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been acceptably performed and completed in conformance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Ray Poland and Sons, Inc. under contract for Project No. 89-2-02 as being completed in conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance. Wright, City EngineeV SUBJECT: Engineers Report Accepting The East Lewis Water Line Project No. 89-2-02 Council authorized the call for bids on May 22, 1989 Bids were opened on June 13, 1989 Council awarded the contract on June 19, 1989 Award was made to Ray Poland and Sons, Inc. in the amount of $ 176,554.30 Notice to proceed was issued on June 26, 1989 The first working day charged to the project was July 5, 1989 and work was substantially complete on August 15, 1989. There were three change orders issued for this project increasing the contract amount by $ 1097.00. The final contract cost was $175,322.39 or silghtly less than 1% under the original contract amount. The project was completed substantially in conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
