Mayor RESOLUTION NO. 1911 A RESOLUTION accepting work by Acme Concrete, Asphalt Division, Inc. under contract for Project No.88-3-05 WHEREAS, the work performed by Acme Concrete, Asphalt Division, Inc. under contract for Project No.88-3-05 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has been acceptably performed and completed in conformance with the applicable project specifications and drawings, and WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Acme Concrete, Asphalt Division, Inc. under contract for Project No. 88-3-05 as being completed in conformance with the project specifications and drawings, and Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue of this acceptance, and Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and Director of Finance. Wright, City Engineere SUBJECT: Engineers Report Accepting East Lewis Street Reconstruction Project No. 88-3-05 Council authorized the call for bids on July 5, 1989 Bids were opened on August 1, 1989 Council awarded the contract on August 7, 1989 Award was made to Acme Concrete, Asphalt Division, Inc. in the amount of $276,535.55 Notice to proceed was issued on August 23, 1989 The first working day charged to the project was August 28, 1989 and work was substantially complete on November 7, 1989 There were 6 change orders issued for this project increasing the contract amount by approximately $5,000 however quantity overruns in rock, asphalt, asphalt patching and utility adjustments actually increased the final contract cost an additional $20,000. The final contract cost was $302,548.46 or 9.4 % the original contract amount. The project was completed substantially in conformance with the project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
