RESOLUTION NO. 1896
A RESOLUTION accepting work by Aztech Electric, Inc. under
contract for Project No. 88-4-01
WHEREAS, the work performed by Aztech Electric, Inc.
under contract for Project No. 88-4-01 has been examined by the
City Engineer and the City Engineer has found that all work
required by the contract has been acceptably performed and
completed in conformance with the applicable project
specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Aztech
Electric, Inc. under contract for Project No. 88-4-01 as being
completed in conformance with the project specifications and
drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue
of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and
Director of Finance.

SUBJECT: ENGINEERS REPORT ACCEPTING THE 7TH & LEWIS TRAFFIC
SIGNAL
PROJECT NO. 88-4-01
Council authorized the call for bids on October 3, 1988.
Bids were opened on November 1, 1988 and subsequently rejected on
November 21, 1989 because they substantially exceeded the
Engineer's Estimate. The project was readvertised and bids
reopened on May 23, 1989.
Council awarded the contract on June 5, 1989.
Award was made to Aztech Electric, Inc. in the amount of
$ 24,300.
Notice to proceed was issued on June 21, 1989.
The first day charged to the project was June 26, 1989 which was
the first day of a 70 calendar day materials procurement period.
The first working day charged to the project was September 4,
1989, and work was substantially completed on Wednesday October
11, 1989
There was one change order issued for this project increasing
the contract amount by 400 dollars.
The final contract cost was $ 23,700 or approximately 2% over the
original contract amount.
The project was completed substantially in conformance with the
project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
