A RESOLUTION naming the Pasco Municipal Golf Course and
residential development
WHEREAS, the residential development within the Pasco Municipal Golf
Course redevelopment project, originally conceived in 1979, has recently
been determined by a professional market analysis to be feasible and indeed
imminent, and
WHEREAS, the market analysis recently completed urges that a distinct
marketing identity be created for the residential development, and
WHEREAS, more than forty names were suggested by the public at
large to the City Manager in response to an open solicitation of suggestions,
and
WHEREAS, the selected name should instill a vision of the community's
warm climate as well as the serenity and stature of the quality living
environment envisioned for the development, and
WHEREAS, the Golf Course lessee, the MSL Group, and the City
Manager, unanimously recommend the development use SUN WILLOWS in its
name, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
That the name SUN WILLOWS will be used to identify the Pasco Municipal
Golf Course and the residential development project
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this eg day of
October, 1989
