A RESOLUTION providing for a method of City property tax
distributions by the County Treasurer.
WHEREAS, although the City is entitled to interest earned
on City property tax receipts held by the County Treasurer, the
City recognizes that the County Treasurer's ability to monitor
the investment of collected taxes on a daily basis is restricted
by the County's current accounting system and is agreeable to a
method of distribution proposed by the County Treasurer,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Until this Resolution is rescinded or
superseded by further action of the City Council, the City agrees
that the County Treasurer may continue the distribution of City
property taxes on a monthly basis, except for the months of April
and May and October and November, during which months the County
Treasurer will distribute the taxes on each Wednesday for the
amounts collected through the previous Friday.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
