RESOLUTION NO. 1864
A RESOLUTION accepting work by Contractors Incorporated under
contract for Project No. 82-2-02.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Contractors Incorporated,
under contract for Project No. 82-2-02, has been examined by
James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc., and James M.
Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc. has found that all work
required by the contract has been acceptably performed and
completed in conformance with the applicable project
specifications and drawings; and
WHEREAS, it is James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineer's,
Inc.'s recommendation that the City of Pasco formally accept the
contractor's work and the project as complete; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with James M.
Montgomery, Consulting Engineer's, Inc. 's recommendation and
thereby accepts the work performed by Contractors Incorporated,
under contract for Project No. 82-2-02 as being completed in
conformance with the project specifications and drawings; and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and
Labor and Industries of this acceptance; and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the Director of Public Works
and Director of Finance.

Subject: Butterfield WTP Modifications
Project Acceptance
Gentlemen:
We hereby recommend acceptance of the subject project. We find the work to be in
conformance with the contract documents. A copy of the final pay estimate is
attached.
Please note that before project acceptance, the following should be forwarded to
you by Contractors Inc .
o Consent of Surety for final payment.
o Either a Surety Bond to cover the performance of guarantee as provided
for in Paragraph 6.01(b) or a writer to the performance bond now in
effect.
o Written guarantee as provided for in the contract for the HVAC equip-
ment, roofing, soft flooring and clearwell baffling
Also included herein are executed Change Order Nos. 1213, 91, 94 and 95 for your
approval. We have also included copies of Change Order Nos. 79, 80 and 92 for your
files
As you know, the attached final pay estimate does not include withholding for work
yet to be completed as detailed in our letter to the City dated December 5, 1988.
Of these, Item Nos. 5, 6, 10, 12, 13 and 14 remain to be completed as does
installation of grease fittings in the horizontal flocculator idler sprockets It was
agreed in our meeting of February 9, 1989 that these items would be included as

warranty work. We feel it prudent that the City note these exceptions in their
acceptance of the work. Also remember that Contractors Inc. owes the City
$19,900 for the filter media.
