WHEREAS, the City annually receives an entitlement of Community Development Block Grant funds from H.U.D. and budgets those funds according to program rules and community needs; and WHEREAS, as a part of the city's ongoing efforts to maintain the community in orderly fashion and to eliminate dangerous and blighting conditions, the city adopted minimum building and housing codes standards; and WHEREAS, the implementation of minimum building and housing code standards requires the city to periodically abate dangerous structures to improve neighborhood conditions and eliminate slum and blight; and WHEREAS, the city created a revolving abatement fund to assist with the removal of dangerous building and housing units within the community; and WHEREAS, all funds from the revolving abatement activities have been expended or will shortly be expended, there is a need to recapitalize the fund with block grant dollars; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the 1988 Community Development Block Grant budget is hereby revised as indicated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. day of PAS ED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 6 , 1988.
