HomeMy WebLinkAbout1823 Resolutionn.4 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION NO. 1823 A RESOLUTION OF THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS: THE IMPROVEMENT OF WHICH IS TO BE PAID IN FULL OR IN PART BY THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT DESCRIBED HEREIN: AND NOTIFYING ALL PROPERTY OWNERS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT THERETO TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A PUBLIC MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD APRIL 18, 1988. WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council after having considered the formation of a local improvement district at prior meetings for the improvements of Road 34 from Henry Street to Court Street in the City of Pasco, and having duly deliberated the passage of a resolution stating the intent of the City Council to proceed with the formation of a local improvement district for the improvement of Road 34 from Henry Street to Court Street, and concluding that the passage of such resolution is in the public interest, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: It is the intention of the Pasco City Council to order the improvement of Road 34 from Henry Street to Court Street. It is proposed that the streets be improved in accordance with standards established by the City of Pasco, including all necessary excavation, grading, ballasting, asphalt concrete surfacing, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and drainage facilities and all other work necessary in connection therewith and incidental thereto, all in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City of Pasco, Department of Public Works, and approved by the City Engineer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in part the cost of such improvement to Pasco street standards shall be borne by and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the local improvement district to be established, embracing as near as may be all of the property specially benefited by such improvement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to create a local improvement district to include for the purpose of assessment all properties within the boundaries described as follows: A STRIP of land 300 feet in width lying 150 feet on either side of the centerline of Road 34 between Henry Street and Court Street. Page 2 of 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons who may desire to object to the improvements herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Pasco, Washington, at 8:00 p.m., on April 18, 1988, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing matters relating to said proposed improvements and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to April 18, 1988, all data and information required by law to be submitted.
