RESOLUTION NO. 1819
A RESOLUTION accepting work by Terranova Construction under
contract for Project No.87-9-01
WHEREAS, the work performed by Terranova Construction,
under contract for the remodeling of City facilities, Project No.
87-9-01 has been examined by the City Engineer and the City
Engineer has found that all work required by the contract has
been acceptably performed and completed in conformance with the
applicable project specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by
Terranova Construction, under contract for Project No. 87-9-01 as
being completed in conformance with the project specifications
and drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and
Labor and Industries of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and
Director of Finance.

SUBJECT: ENGINEERS REPORT ACCEPTING THE HANDICAPPED
REMODELING PROJECT
Council authorized the call for bids on September 8, 1987.
Bids were opened on Wednesday October 14, 1987.
Council awarded the contract on October 19, 1987
Award was made to Terranova Construction in the amount of
$ 41,880.30.
The first working day charged to the project was November 9,
1987, and work was substantially completed on February 19, 1988,
with 3 working days remaining.
There were 13 change orders issued for this project increasing
the contract amount by $25,315 dollars plus sales tax. These
change orders were primarily for modifications and additions at
the library and at the Martin Luther King Center.
The final contract cost was $ 69,169.87.
The project was completed substantially in conformance with the
project specifications and I recommend the project be accepted.
