RESOLUTION NO /799
A RESOLUTION establishing a committee to investigate the need,
feasibility and location of a softball/soccer complex
WHEREAS, there is a need in the community as evidenced by the
number of persons participating in softball and/or soccer in city league,
school district and casual activities, and
WHEREAS, the Pasco Parks and Recreation Advisory Council has
recommended that a special committee be formed to investigate the feasibility
of a softball/soccer complex for the Pasco community, and
WHEREAS, a combined effort by those agencies and organizations
which would be benefited could better cause such a facility to become
a reality, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 That an ad-hoc committee, to be known as the Softball/
Soccer Complex Study Committee, is hereby established to consist of the
following representative membership
1) One member of the Pasco City Council
2) One member of the Pasco School Board
3) One member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Council
4) One member of the Planning Commission
5) One member of the Men's Adult Softball League
6) One member of the Women's Adult Softball League
7) One member of the Tr-Cities Junior Soccer Association
Section 2 The Study Committee is hereby requested to define
the extent of need for such a complex, identify desirable locations for
such a complex, identify the anticipated costs of and possible financing
sources for construction, operation and maintenance of such a complex,
and report its findings and recommendations to the City Council
