HomeMy WebLinkAbout1790 Resolution1 RESOLUTION NO. 1790 A RESOLUTION approving the vacation of the west 10' of the 60' right-of-way easement for Maitland Avenue from Ainsworth Avenue to the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. WHEREAS, The City desires the Franklin County Public Utility District to extend power from Ainsworth Avenue up Maitland Avenue to the new Public Works Fire Department Storage Building being constructed at the Public Works Shop; WHEREAS, The Franklin County Public Utility District requires an exclusive 10' easement for the extension of power; and WHEREAS, Vacation of the west 10' of the 60' right-of-way easement for Maitland Avenue by the City will allow the Port of Pasco to grant the Public Utility District a utility easement on such 10' strip of land, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. The west 10' of the 60' right-of-way easement for Maitland Avenue from Ainsworth Avenue to the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks, more particularly described below, is hereby vacated. 2. The 60' right-of-way easement for Maitland Avenue from Ainsworth Avenue to the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks, situated in Pasco, Franklin County, Washington, is described as follows: A strip of land 60' in width lying 30' on either side of a centerline described as follows: Beginning at a point on the centerline of Ainsworth Avenue at the intersection of the north-south centerline of Section 32, Township 9 North, Range 30 East, W.M.; thence south 68 Deg. 59 Min. 21 Sec. east along the centerline of Ainsworth Avenue a distance of 834.2 feet to a point; thence north 21 Deg. 00 Min. 39 Sec. east, a distance of 936.00 feet, a portion of said course lays 30 feet westerly and parallel to the westerly A v 453976 EVELYN LLS, City Clerk GREGA.RUBST LLO, City Attorney RECORDED IN OF ogipiAL RECORDS PAGE 7 REOUEST OF oi- Pas 4.(2 AUG 04 1987 ii I •CC ATT ST: APPROVED AS TO —2— boundary of the Army Reserve Property; thence on the arc of a curve to the right with a radius of 734.32 feet, a distance of 220.87 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the left with a radius of 588.91 feet, a distance of 88 feet more or less to the northerly boundary of the property conveyed to the grantor by deed from the United States of America, recorded under Auditor's File No. 212041, Franklin County, Washington. 3.
