HomeMy WebLinkAbout1766 Resolutiont RESOLUTION NO. 1766 A RESOLUTION Declaring Fire Station No. 2 property surplus and authorizing the calling of bids. WHEREAS, The City of Pasco owns real property in the City of Pasco, Franklin County, Washington, described as follows: That portion of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 24, Township 9 North, Range 29 East, W.M. described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said subdivision; thence along the south line thereof 89 degrees 58'21" west 303.46 feet; thence parallel the east line thereof north 02 degrees 01'28" east 40 feet to the north line of court street and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence north 02 degrees 01'28" east 125 feet; thence north 89 degrees 58'21" west 55 feet; thence south 02 degrees 01'28" west 125 feet; thence south 89 degrees 58'21" east 55 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. WHEREAS, The City Council after due consideration has determined that the above-described property, commonly known as the Fire Station No. 2 property, is inadequate and inappropriately located for future fire station development and that such property is surplus to the needs of the City; and WHEREAS, The City Council has further determined that a minimum bid price should be established and the property advertised for public bid, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. The above-described real property is hereby declared surplus to the needs of the City of Pasco. 2. A minimum bid price of $ 50,000 00 established. is hereby RESOLUTION - PAGE 1 ATT W LLS, City Clerk 3. The City Manager shall cause the property to be advertised for public bid and sale to the highest bidder above the minimum bid price pursuant to PMC 2.46.030. 4. The Mayor is authorized to sign a Quitclaim Deed to the successful bidder, if any there is. PASSED This day of February, 1987 by the City Council and Approved by the Mayor.
