HomeMy WebLinkAbout1743 ResolutionATTES RESOLUTION NO_ 1743 A RESOLUTION urging State approval of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital 1986 Budget WHEREAS, the primary mission of government is to foster and preserve the health and welfare of its citizens, and WHEREAS, Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) Hospital, a non-profit the acute health needs of Pasco and Tri organization, has served well - Cities residents for 70 years, and WHEREAS, OLOL Hospital represents a significant source of employment economic activity within the Pasco community as well as the and related econo Tr-Cities region, and WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council understands that OLOL Hospital's 1986 budget proposes to maintain the prices of hospital services at the level as was approved by the Washington State Hospital Commission same le in 1985, and WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council further understands that the State's Hospital Commission staff has recommended a 20 percent reduction of the currently approved OLOL Hospital service prices, and WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council, given the foregoing understandings and the financial obligations of OLOL Hospital for the much-improved hospital facility in Pasco, concludes that the Hospital Commission's staff recommendation is arbitrary and void of reasonable regard for the health and general welfare of the greater Pasco community, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO That the Pasco City Council hereby urges the Washington State Hospital Commission to grant approval of 1986 OLOL Hospital prices at the level approved in 1985 PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 21 day of July , 1986 Leland F Kraft, Mayor Pro tem ve yn Wells, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM Greif Rubs ello, City Attorney
