HomeMy WebLinkAbout1733 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1733 A RESOLUTION establishing a new rate for basic residential cable service; and amending Resolution No. 1562. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1562 passed February 7, 1983, the City Council established the Schedule for Rates and Charges for cable television service under a non-exclusive franchise to be granted to Micro Cable Communications Corporation; and WHEREAS, Columbia Cable, a subsidiary of United Artists Cable Systems Corporation, the successor corporation to Micro Cable Communications Corporation, has requested of the City Council pursuant to Section 11. of Ordinance 2428, the CATV Enabling Ordinance for Pasco, Washington, that the basic residential cable service rate be increased by Two Dollars ($2.00) from a current monthly rate of Ten Dollars ($10.00) to a monthly rate of Twelve Dollars ($12.00); and WHEREAS, the City Council after recommendation from staff and a review by a cable consultant, believes that a rate increase of One Dollar and 10/100 Cents ($1.10) from the current monthly rate of Ten Dollars ($10.00) to a monthly rate of Eleven Dollars and 10/100 Cents ($11.10) is reasonable under existing circumstances, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. Section 1.(b) (AA) Basic Residential Service of Resolution No. 1562 be and hereby is amended to read as follows: Service Monthly Rate Installation Charge First Outlet $11.10 $29.95 Each Additional Outlet $ 5.00 $ 9.95 2.
