RESOLUTION NO. 1729
A RESOLUTION accepting work by Sharpe and Preszler Construction
Inc. under contract for Project No. 86-3-03, The 18TH Avenue
\ Storm Drain.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Sharpe and Preszler
Construction Inc. under contract for Project No. 86-3-03, has
been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has
found that all work required by the contract has been acceptably
performed and completed in conformance with the applicable
project specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by Sharpe
and Preszler Construction Inc. , under contract for project No.
86-3-03, as being completed in conformance with the project
specifications and drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and
Labor and Industries of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determination shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and
Director of Finance.

SUBJECT: Acceptance of the 18th Avenue Storm Drain
Project Number 86-3-03
Council authorized call for bids on January 20, 1986
Bids opened February 11, 1986
Council awarded February 18, 1986
Awarded to Sharpe and Preszler Construction Inc.
Notice to proceed was issued March 5, 1986.
The first working day charged to the project was March 17, 1986
and work was completed on April 4, 1986 with 5 working days
remaining on the contract.
The original bid was $50,892.00 and the final construction cost
was $51,149.46 or approximately 0.5 percent over the original bid
because of a slight overrun in quantities. No change orders were
issued.
This project is now complete and I recommend it be accepted by
Council (Resolution attached).
