RESOLUTION NO. 1711
A RESOLUTION accepting the work by Cowan's Bobcat Service, Inc.
under contract for project no. 85-8-01.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Cowan's Bobcat
Service, Inc., under contract for project no. 85-8-01 has been
examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has found
that all work required by the contract has been acceptably
performed and completed in conformance with the applicable
project specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and thereby accepts the work performed by
Cowan's Bobcat Service, Inc., under contract for project no.
85-8-01 as being completed in conformance with the project
specifications and drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and
Labor and Industries of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determinations shall be released upon satisfaction
of same and verification thereof by the City Engineer and
Director of Finance.

MEMORANDUM TO: David McDonald, Community Development Director
FROM: Dennis H. Wright, City Engineer
SUBJECT: Acceptance of Demolition at 108 North Owens
Project No. 85-8-01
Council authorized call for bids August 19, 1985;
Bids opened October 29, 1985;
Council awarded November 4, 1985;
Awarded to Cowan's Bobcat Service, Inc., for $1,770.45;
Notice to proceed was issued November 14, 1985.
The contractor started work on November 19, 1985 and worked for
one day before weather stopped work. Work did not restart until
January 14, 1986 and was completed January 28, 1986. This was
within the allowed contract working days.
Final cost was $1,770.45, the original bid price.
This project is now complete and I recommend it be accepted by
Council (Resolution attached).
