RESOLUTION NO. 1710
A RESOLUTION naming the City Park at 5th and Pearl Streets
"Centennial Park".
WHEREAS, after survey of residents in the area of the City
Park at 5th and Pearl Streets the Park and Recreation Advisory
Board has recommended to the City Council that it name said park
"Centennial Park"; and
WHEREAS, Pasco recently celebrated its one hundred year
anniversary (1884 -1984) and the City Council agrees that naming
the park "Centennial Park" will commemorate Pasco's one hundred
year anniversary in a positive manner and serve as a reminder to
Pasco's citizens of Pasco's first 100 year history, now,
therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City's Park at 5th and Pearl Streets is named
"CENTENNIAL PARK" in memory and in honor of the City of Pasco's
first one hundred years.
