RESCDLUTICPINI NJC). 1709
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is required by the Inter-Agency Committee
for Outdoor Recreation ( IAC) and the National Park Service (NPS) to
have a Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan in order to be eligible
for certain state and federal funding, and
WHEREAS, the city finds it is in the city's best interest to adopt
such a Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan, for purposes of obtaining
funding and for proper planning of leisure facilities and programs for
Pasco citizens, and
WHEREAS, the city has caused a Comprehensive Park and Recreation
Plan to be prepared, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO
That the certain Comprehensive Park and Recreation System Plan
presented at a public hearing on December 16, 1985, and prepared by
city staff with the cooperation and assistance of the Park and Recreation
Advisory Council, be and the same is hereby adopted as the official
Park and Recreation System Plan for the city, and that this Park and
Recreation System Plan be and is designated as a component of the entire
City Comprehensive Plan as now exists or hereafter is amended
PASSED by the City Co ncil of the City of Pasco this
day of , 1986
