HomeMy WebLinkAbout1701 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO 1701 WHEREAS the City of Pasco and the Pasco Police Association have a three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement due to expire on December 31, 1986, and WHEREAS, this Agreement does Provide that the only subject open for Collective Negotiations for calendar year 1986 is Salaries and Medical/ Dental Insurance for 1986 and WHEREAS, the Pasco Police Association and the City of Pasco have been engaged in bargaining sessions for 1986 salaries and medical/dental insurance, and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO Section 1 That Appendix "A" to the existing agreement is hereby rescinded and inlieu thereof, the attached Amendment to the 1984 - 1986 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Pasco and the Pasco Police Association is made a part of subject agreement Section 2 That the City Manager on behalf of the City of Pasco is authorized to affix the City's approval in the 1986 salary and medical/ dental insurance schedules PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this /‘ day of December, 1985 -J6 W Jacks66-;"Mayor //' ATTEST ENeI n75—irells, City Clerk ---, APPROVED AS Ts FORM t likk 4 Greg A Ruøs€lo, y Attorney AMENDMENT TO THE 1984-86 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PASCO POLICE ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF PASCO The parties, having reached agreement subsequent to negotiations, hereby enter into this Amendment to the 1984-86 Collective Bargaining Agreement by and between the City of Pasco, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, and the Pasco Police Association. ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION The Association stipulates that the current composition of the bargaining unit is improper and that it will join with the City in a Petition for Unit Clarification to the Public Employment Relations Commission prior to the execution of a successor Agreement. rhe objective of said Petition will be to create separate "uniformed employee" and "non-uniformed employee" bargaining units in the Police Department. The Association stipulates that "non-uniformed employees" shall include Police Services Specialists, Community Service Officers and Crime Prevention Officer: the parties to this agreement further acknowledge that the classification of Evidence Technician remains an issue of dispute and that the appropriateness of the Pasco Police Association representing the "non-uniformed employees" remains an issue of dispute. ARTICLE X - MEDICAL. DENTAtz„ LIFE ANO FALSE ARREST INSURANCE Section _4 - Vision Care. Commencing January 1. 1986 LEUFF 01 officers shall be eligible for reimbursement to an annual maximum of 5200 for the combined usual and customary charges tor lal vision examination. An examination and new lenses may be obtained every twelve 4129 months. but only of the latter are medically requored . Repair and/or replacement of broken or lost glasses is not an eligible expense. ARTICLE XV - SALARIES Section 1. Effective January 1, 1986. the wage schedule for the entire bargaining unit shall be increased by two oercent 0.0 ,40. Effective July 1, 1986, the wage schedule for the uniformed classifications of Patrol Officer, Corporal and Sergeant and the disputed classification of Evidence Technician shall be increased another two percent 12.0%). Said adjustments re set f rth in Appendix "A" attached hereto. ARTICLE XXI - FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT ISSUES A. Work Period. The City will declare a 41.25 hour duty week and a 28 day 1165 hours I work cycle. I B. If the City decides to do so. the Association will support conversion to a monthly payroll with a mutually agreed upon standard mid-month draw. D. Outside Emoloyment. If required to avoid inclusion as hours worked for City overtime purposes. the Association will support separate and independent arrangements with other jurisdictions for off duty employment.
