RESOLUTION NO. 1700
A RESOLUTION affirming that the Pasco City Manager shall
live within the city limits of the City of Pasco except as
qualified herein.
WHEREAS, the members of the City Council have been
specifically requested by Willis Bultje, 8824 Franklin Road,
Pasco, Washington, that they adopt a Resolution setting forth
their position accepting the residency of the City Manager Gary
Crutchfield outside of the city limits of the City of Pasco,
Washington; and
WHEREAS, the City Council makes this Resolution for no
other purpose than to accommodate the request of Mr. Bultje as
the City Manager has sought out and has reaffirmed to him the
policy of the City Council as set forth below, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager of this city shall reside in the City
of Pasco after his appointment is made by the City Council.
2. Gary Crutchfield our current City Manager was residing
outside the city limits at the time of his appointment and his
compliance with the Council policy set forth in paragraph 1 above
has and remains waived only to the extent that:
a. The location of his residence at the time of his
appointment be maintained; and
b. The real estate market remains likely to impose a
financial hardship on the City Manager (as determined by
the City Council) should he be required to sell his
current residence outside the city limits.
PASSED this /2 day of December, 1985 and approved by
the Mayor.
