HomeMy WebLinkAbout1664 ResolutionNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION NO. 1664 A RESOLUTION OF THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL, DECLARING ITS ,INTENTION TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS: THE IMPROVEMENT OF WHICH IS TO BE PAID IN FULL OR IN PART BY THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT DESCRIBED HEREIN: AND NOTIFYING ALL PROPERTY OWNERS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT THERETO TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A PUBLIC MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD JANUARY 7, 1985. WHEREAS, the Pasco City Council after having considered the formation of a local Improvement district at prior meetings for the improvements of Court Street from Road 32 to Road 36 in the City of Pasco, and having duly deliberated the passage of a resolution stating the intent of the City Council to proceed with the formation of a local improvement district for the improvement of Court Street from Road 32 to Road 36 and con- cluding that the passage of such resolution is in the public interest, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PASCO CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: It is the intention of the Pasco City Council to order the Improvement of Court Street from 300 ft. east of Road 32 to 300 ft. west of Road 36. It is proposed that the streets be Improved in accordance with standards established by the City of Pasco, including all necessary excavation, grading, ballasting, asphalt concrete surfacing, curbs, gutters, sidewalks drainage facilities and signal systems at Road 34 and Road 36 and all other work necessary in connection therewith and inci- dental thereto, all in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City of pasco, Department of Public Works, and approved by the City Engineer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in part the cost of such improvement to Pasco street standards shall be borne by and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the Local Improvement District to be established embracing as near as may be all of the property specially benefited by such improvement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is thb intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to create a Local Improvement District to include for the purpose of assessment all properties within the boundaries described as follows: THAT PART of Sections 23, 24, and 25, Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M. as described as follows: (Boundary of properties to be assessed) A ET: yn Wells, City Clerk APPROV9v AS TOCORN: AI V IP Greg R llo, City Attorney •11.4. Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 25, thence Southerly along the West line of said Section 25 to a point 425 ft. North of the Southwest corner of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter thereof, thence East along a line parallel to and 425 ft. North of the South line of said Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter to the East right-of-way line of Road 34; thence Southerly along said East right-of-way line to the North right-of-way line of Henry Street; thence Easterly along said North right-of-way line and right-of-way line extended to its intersection with the West right-of-way line of State Highway SR-12; thence Northerly along the said West right-of-way line to its intersection with the South right-of-way line of Ruby Street; thence westerly along said right-of-way line to the West right-of-way line of Road 32; thence Northerly along said right-of-way line to the Northeast corner of Lot 4, Edgar's Addition; thence Westerly along the West lot line of said Lot 4 to the Southeast corner of Lot 5, Edgar's addition; thence Northerly along the West line and West line extended of said Lot 5 to the centerline of Agate Street; thence Westerly along said centerline and centerline extended to its intersection with the West right-of-way line of Road 36; thence South along the said West line of Road 36 to its intersection' with the South right-of-way line of Ruby Street; thence West along said South line 103.78 ft, thence South along a line parallel to and 103.78 ft. West of the West line of Road 36 to its intersection with the centerline of Court Street, thence East along said centerline to the point of beginning BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons who may desire to object to the improvements herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Pasco, Washington, at 8:00 p.m., on January 7, 1985, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing matters relating to said proposed improvements and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to January 7, 1985 all data and information required by law to be submitted.
