RESOLUTION NO. 1660
A RESOLUTION accepting the work by Sharpe and Preszler
Construction Company, Inc., under contract for
project no. 84-2-01.
WHEREAS, the work performed by Sharpe and Preszler
Construction, Inc., under contract for project no. 84-2-01 has
been examined by the City Engineer and the City Engineer has
found that all work required by the contract has been acceptably
performed and completed in conformance with the applicable
project specifications and drawings, and
WHEREAS, it is the City Engineer's recommendation that the
City of Pasco formally accept the contractor's work and the
project as complete, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City Council concurs with the City Engineer's
recommendation and hereby accepts the work performed by Sharpe
and Preszler Construction, Inc., under contract for project no.
84-2-01 as being completed in conformance with the project
specifications and drawings, and
Be it further resolved that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to notify the Washington State Department of Revenue and
Labor and Industries of this acceptance, and
Be it further resolved that the final payment of retainage
being withheld pursuant to applicable laws, regulations and
administrative determinations shall be released upon
satisfaction of same and verification there of by the City
Engineer and Director of Finance.

MEMORANDUM TO: James Ajax, Director of Public Works
FROM: Dennis Wright, City Engineer
SUBJECT: Acceptance of the 1984 Water Transmission/
Distribution Project No. 84-2-01
Council authorized call for bids on May 7, 1984;
Bids opened June 7, 1984;
Council awarded June 11, 1984;
Awarded to Sharpe and Preszler Construction for $100,746.06;
Notice to proceed was issued July 10, 1984;
No time extensions were required, contractor completed project 22
days ahead of schedule;
1 Change order in the amount of $854.58 was issued primarily for
additional fittings not originally anticipated;
Quantities overran approximately 0.4%;
FINAL COST $102,109.50 or 1.35% over the original bid price.
This project is now complete and I recommend it be accepted by
Council (Resolution attached).
